The
Importance of Seniority
Nowadays,seniority
in a school often emerge in each student. It showed by stressing which often
given to the junior. But in our opinion,school is not a right place to do the
seniorities. Why do we say that?
Firstly, seniority
is an important thing in education. According to the student’s opinion as a
senior, they said that seniority is a needed thing in a school because it will
makes solidarity between senior and junior. Seniority that they talked is not a
seniority like in military school. It doesn’t need a bullying. It just need a
feeling to care each other.
Secondly, according
to the teacher’s opinion, there is no seniority but a feeling like brothers and
sisters in a family. As a senior,they should be a good social models to their
junior. Meanwhile, the junior have to respect to their senior. Nowadays we can
see that the junior have no respect to the senior. Actually,it is one of effect
from the decrease of moral value. So the character education is needed to grow
a good character in everybody. To have a good character we have to do it as a
habitual action. Besides, we need awareness to have a good character. So what
we hope from seniority is grow a good character and awareness in each student
as junior. The solution to face the junior who dare with their senior are the
senior have to give an advice and get closer to the junior.
From the facts
above, seniority is needed but it should be instructed to a good things like to
grow a solidarity among the student. Beside the seniority we need a good
character and awareness to build a good behavior.
